About BMU

Better Me University · Est. 2026

BMU, short for Better Me University, is practical self help for real families: short lessons, real tools, and honest prices, with plenty free for everyone.

About BMU: not an accredited institution

BMU (Better Me University) is a self improvement learning community. It is not an accredited college, university or school, and it is not affiliated with any government agency or the military. BMU courses do not award college credit, degrees, diplomas, licenses or professional certifications, and BMU certificates of completion are informal. Courses are for education and personal growth, not legal, financial, medical or mental health advice.

Made with our families in mind

The examples here are realistic composites that sound like home: Sunday dinner, the group chat, the cousin who always needs a favor, the things grown folks never talked about, faith, military life, and the real math of paying for school. They reflect Black families and communities, and everyone is welcome at this table.

Why it exists

A lot of self improvement content is either too vague to use or too long to finish. BMU aims for the middle: lessons you can finish in one sitting, exercises you can use the same day, and prompts that help you think about your own life, not someone else's. The guidance comes from documented facts and research, not from anyone's personal story.

Portrait of MM3

BMU was created by MM3, U.S. Navy veteran and educator, and author of the self help books that several courses use as a framework. BMU courses are not built on his personal story. They are built on documented research and official sources, written to be practical, plain spoken, and focused on what you can do next.

A note on what this is and is not

BMU offers education and encouragement for personal growth. It is not therapy, medical care, or legal or financial advice. It is not an accredited college, and nothing here awards academic credit. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 any time.
